Alexis Bonte Appointed Acting CEO as the Company Prepares for a New Era of Growth and Optimization
Stillfront, a leading player in the gaming industry, has announced the departure of its founder and CEO, Jörgen Larsson, as part of a strategic leadership shift. Larsson, who has led the company since its inception, will be succeeded in the interim by Alexis Bonte, former president of publishing and business acceleration. The board of directors has initiated a search for a permanent CEO to guide Stillfront through its next phase of growth.
Chairperson Katarina Bonde addressed the decision, emphasizing that while Stillfront is financially strong, the board believes new leadership is needed to steer the company toward sustained growth. “Our implemented efficiency measures have successfully bolstered profitability and cash flow, but there is still much work to do,” Bonde noted. The company’s recent restructuring, which organizes operations into three business areas, is a key part of this effort, designed to enhance focus on core franchises and address underperforming titles.
Larsson, reflecting on his tenure, expressed pride in the company’s achievements and affirmed his belief in Stillfront’s strategy. He remains a significant shareholder and committed to following the company’s progress closely.
The leadership change follows the restructuring announcement in September 2024, aimed at improving organic growth and profitability. Stillfront expects the full implementation of these optimization activities by Q4 2025, projecting annual cost savings of 200 to 250 million SEK.
As the company embarks on its search for new leadership, Bonde highlighted that this marks a pivotal moment in Stillfront’s journey: “A fresh approach is essential to fully realize the opportunities in front of us.”
